Roland's unique “Score Display”
On the KR-15, pushing the “Score Display” button brings up on the DigiScore onscreen display the scores from preset songs, Standard MIDI Files, or songs you record yourself using the onboard recorder. You can choose to display the staff along with the note name, finger number, chord name, or lyrics. Or, you can display the right-hand part or left-hand part only. An even larger score can be shown when the instrument is connected to an external display.
“Touch the Notes”
With the remarkable “Touch the Notes” function, just touch any note on the DigiScore touchscreen, and the instrument will play that note. Drag your finger over a phrase or series of notes to highlight them, and the keyboard plays back the phrase immediately, letting you check the notes both visually and aurally.
“Replay” pedal
Press the left pedal during playback, and the music stops. Release the pedal, and playback resumes from the start of that measure, so you can try that phrase again. Pressing the pedal repeatedly rewinds playback one measure at a time. You never need to take your hands off the keyboard, so you can stay focused on your lessons.
Using “Touch the Notes” and “Replay” together is a great way to practice. With the “Replay” pedal pressed, use the “Touch the Notes” function to listen to and check the sound of the note or phrase you missed.
